Register ,login on incom tax portal A.Y.2025

To register and log in to the Income Tax e-Filing portal (India) for Assessment Year (A.Y.) 2025–26, follow these steps:

🔹 PART 1: Registration (if not already registered)
1. Go to the official website:
👉 https://www.incometax.gov.in

2. Click on “Register” (top right corner).
3. Choose User Type:
Individual / HUF / Company / Firm / Trust etc.

Click Continue.

4. Enter Basic Details:
PAN (Permanent Account Number)

Surname, First Name, Middle Name (as per PAN)

Date of Birth

Residential Status (Resident / NRI)

5. Validate PAN and continue.
6. Provide Contact Details:
Mobile number

Email ID

Address

7. Set a Password and create a Secure Login Message.
8. Enter the OTPs received on your email and mobile for verification.
✅ Registration is complete once verified.
🔹 PART 2: Login to the Income Tax Portal
1. Go to: https://www.incometax.gov.in
2. Click on “Login” (top right).
3. Enter:
User ID: Your PAN

Password: The one you set at registration

4. Enter the Captcha or use OTP via Aadhaar-linked mobile for added security (optional).
✅ You’re now logged in and can file ITR for A.Y. 2025–26 (which corresponds to F.Y. 2024–25).
